Or, October Favourites! Awk. Okay, moving on... October has been a lonely month for poor ole me. That means...MAKEUP OVERLOAD! I'm just going to share with you a few products, more like a billion, that I've been enjoying this month.
-CoverGirl NatureLuxe Foundation
I'm in the lightest shade, Alabaster. Every time i say that, I'm tempted to say "alabastard". As you can see, I'm insanely mature. Anyway, it is a very lightweight foundation with a light coverage. Without flaw, it evens out my skin-tone, and leaves me with a glowy, dewy complexion. There are a few bright red spots on my nose and cheekbones where a spot concealer is necessary, and of course I need the assistance of concealer on blemishes and scars. This foundation is affordable and handy for school!
-NYX HD photogenic concealer
As always, I'm in the lightest shade. I believe it's called, very originally, "light". This concealer is thick, and a little goes a long way. Like a penny that's worth a dime. Although the consistency is something you'd expect to look cakey, it doesn't. It effortlessly hides any unwanted areas on your face, and is affordable at the same time. (wait, concealers can't show effort...awk.)
-Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes.
The two shades that I own, and have been frequently brushing onto my apples, have been "flush" and "dollface". Flush is a bright berry color, and dollface is a simple light pink. When persueing the application of these blushes, I will take a regular blush brush (ELF complexion brush) with flush, and lightly stroke that on the very outermost part of my apples. Then, I'll take dollface on a stippling brush. This will apply less product, allowing you to build it up at your will (ELF stipple brush). In circular motions, I blend dollface on the outermost part of my temples, and down my apples over flush. This blends the purpley berry color so that it doesn't look too crazy against my pale skin. These claim to last 12 hours, I personally think they last more like 10, but begin to ware at about 6.
-Highlighters!
My two specific favorites have been High Beam from Benefit, and MAC's mineralized skin finish in "soft and gentle". These are basically polar opposites. High beam is like Texas, and soft and gentle is like North Dakota, one is the southernmost state, while the other is northernmost. If that statement was invalid, I'm not embarassed. High beam is a liquid pink highlighter, adding a pastel shimmery glow to your cheeks. Soft and Gentle is a powder champagne highlighter, adding a more bronzey-tan glow. They're both expensive, but worth the splurge.
-The NAKED palette.
I've had this for awhile, and now that it's fall...I'm in love. The naked palette is Urban Decay's neutrals palette. It features 12 permanent shades, and retails for $48. The shadows are only .1 gram smaller than full size, and you're only paying $4 per shadow. If you think this is too expensive, you're crazy. I've been using half baked, a gold; smog, a bronze infused gold; sin, a champagne lid color; and toasted, a medium shimmery brown. The colors are all incredibly pigmented, blend nicely together, and apply smoothly onto the lid. There are two matte shades, which I appreciate completely. LOVE THIS.
-Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer.
There are few concealers that I buy and use only for the under-eye area. This is one of those few. This is a yellow-toned concealer that has just enough coverage for my under-eye circles. It doesn't look like cake, or cement. It doesn't crease, or give me reverse racoon eye. It's cheap, and I'm cheap. That's why we're friends.
-Milani Eye Tech Liquid Liner.
I have this in brown. The felt tip that is featured with the liner, is insanely tiny, and ideal for creating very thin lines on your upper lashline. I primarily use this to get the thinnest line possible, to only make my lashes look thicker at the roots. Easy to use, cheap, yay.
-Loreal Voluminous Million Lashes
THIS.IS.DA.BOMB.DIGGITY. Not only do my normally thick, long, black lashes touch my eyebrows with this mascara, but they don't look clumpy! Say what? This mascara doesn't clump my lashes. WHAT?! THIS MASCARA DOESN'T CLUMP. oh, heard you that time...And with a wand with tons of small plastic bristles, my lashes are separated, lengthened, and volumized, all at once! This is amazing for dramatic eyelashes, top liner, and no eyeshadow; a look I model often.
-OPI, Mermaids Tears.
Gorgeous sea-foam, turqouise green. Two coats and you're good to go! It's the only nailpolish I don't chew off within the first 4 hours of wearing it. I've literally worn this for 24 hours straight, with only biting my nails ONCE. That says something; this nail polish is basically my new hubby. YEEE.
Hello! I have a strange addiction to everything beauty; but specifically makeup. It calls to me, I swear.
